The visual design of this website is to merge the images and feelings from past to future. The name “herbalab” which can be easier to connect visually to the professional laboratory scene present a contemporary style. Based on the concept of integrating cross cultural features into a modern visual look, the logotype is developing by san serif typeface in a rectangular frame without top line, which symbolize the traditional jar for storage of Chinese herbs.

"I am FangYi Chu, a branding and visual designer. I was born in Taipei, Taiwan and currently lives in New York. I have a bachelor’s degree of Civil Engineering and graduated from M.S. Communication Design of Pratt Institute.

The diverse background makes me a multidisciplinary designer who is strong at structural thinking and also good at bringing out the value of brands through my aesthetics in graphics. I am a versatile and adaptable person who is open-minded to various challenges. Outside the office, I like dancing, cooking for friends, and lying on the grass."
